You Don't Look Sick: Running with Gastroparesis



I was suffering from unrelenting nausea and excruciating pain when this picture was taken at runDisney's Princess Half Marathon.

In retrospect, it wasn't a good idea to try to run a half marathon just days after I had a feeding tube surgically placed.

Even though I was struggling with gastroparesis, I didn't want the pain from chronic illness to stop me from living (and running).
